Sensitive Soul Yoga

This space is for you to slow down and reconnect with self. A moment for replenishment and healing to which you can return anytime you need nourishment to strengthen your unique sensitive gifts.

Sensitive Soul Yoga is for the Highly Sensitive Person, the Empath and the Introvert. It’s a space for you to honor and cultivate the sacred relationship between your body and spirit.   Here, you can deepen your soul within a guided but personal experience. Practicing the relationship of conscious breath to movement will allow you to feel and know yourself more intimately and compassionately. The offering of sensitive soul yoga is about feeling yourself from the inside out not about proper form, alignment or achieving perfection.  It’s about being with your whole self, befriending that self and always honoring that self.

From One Sensitive Soul to Another

Sensitive Soul Yoga combines healing, compassion, kindness and acceptance while uniting the three elements of life; mind, body, and breath (soul). Through conscious awareness of connecting your breath to thoughts and sensations reflected in your body, sensitive soul yoga helps you to cultivate empathy and self-understanding and to build confidence. It is the practice of being fully present in your strength – breath by breath, moment to moment.

My Approach to Yoga

I want you to overcome painful limitations, meet challenges, gain understanding, cope well and alleviate emotional pain. My approach is somatically focused not on proper yogic techniques. Using only words, never with touch, I guide you to strengthen your relationship with yourself. Working individually with me offers you the time and space for deeper emotional expression and release.

My Approach to Counseling

I am personable and relaxed, my approach – relational. I value authenticity and I offer hope and a vision to those who come to me for healing. I am committed to healing inner wounds and inspiring you to feel empowered. I am naturally curious and creative. I am gifted with intuition and have a knack for noting the nuances, the synchronicities and signs in life that offer guidance and wisdom. I hope that my skills and gifts offer a refreshing approach to your healing and growth.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Certified Group Psychotherapist. I am in private practice with two locations: Houston and The Woodlands, Tx (A Suburb of Houston).

I specialize in Inner Child Healing, Highly Sensitive People, Empaths, Intuitives and Introverts, Eating Disorders, Identity, Self Worth, Emotional and Spiritual Growth. I am trained in Group Therapy, EMDR, Reiki, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Self Psychology, Spiritual Psychology and Eating Disorders.

Jean Dixon a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Certified Group Psychotherapist and Certified Yoga Teacher. Jean is in private practice and is located in Houston and The Woodlands, Tx. Jean specializes in Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, Self Esteem and Self Worth, Family of Origin issues, Highly Sensitive People and Empaths, and Emotional and Spiritual Growth. Jean also specializes in Group Therapy. Jean is trained in EMDR, Yoga (Trauma Informed) and Somatic Focusing offering whole body approach to healing and growth.
